Carbon with a past
The sports industry is the third-largest user of carbon fibre, ahead of automotive. Most of it is retired after about three years, and almost all of it goes to landfill, where it takes an estimated 60,000 years to degrade by a quarter. We collect it from clubs, workshops and teams, and turn it into frames you will keep. Every pair carries an NFC tag. Tap it with your phone and it tells you which lineage your carbon came from, the equipment type, the batch and the serial number.
